ASMR

Over quarantine, I started listening to and writing ASMR scripts to help with loneliness. My work in this genre is inspired by my training in the mental health field, encourages neural regulation, and has themes of physical safety and community care.

This is a video about a knight rescuing his liege.

This video centers on a sci-fi pirate captain taking care of a traumatized clone.

This series focuses on a sensible housekeeper looking after a cursed wizard, inspired by my love of classic fantasy like Howl’s Moving Castle.

GAME DESIGN

I dabble in game design.

Here’s a tabletop game about Good falling in love with Evil, informed by my perspective as an author of enemies-to-lovers romance. One time some people played that game on a podcast.

I entered a LARP based on tropes from classic horror fiction in the 2019 Golden Cobra Awards.

Here’s a Twine game that explores self-care and recovery from abuse through fantasy tropes.

I was interviewed here about some classes I designed for the superhero-themed TTRPG Masks.

I wrote one of the example adventures for Moonpunk, a game about activists smashing the corrupt system in space.

I was a sensitivity editor for Barrow Keep, a fantastic retro fantasy tabletop game. (No relation to Richard Rook, the main author- we’re just both birds!)
