Here are some short stories and poems.

short stories go here

a retelling of the fairy tale “Kate Crackernuts” with a disabled love interest and a queer protagonist (Corvid Queen, 2018)

a short story about queer polyamorous people healing from trauma in a solarpunk utopia (Vulture Bones, 2018)

a short story about a lesbian with visual impairment, written when i was struggling with vision due to undiagnosed migraines, anthologized here (Ink & Locket Press, 2017)

this short story about a traumatized lesbian with an eating disorder who’s sacrificed everyone she loves to protect her home planet (Breath and Shadow, 2017)

this Jewish lesbian age gap werewolf romance (Luna Station Quarterly, 2017)

& a lot of other work (as Kayla Bashe) that I’m not posting here because it’s old or the links are broken

but this story published in Mirror Dance (2016), about an evil queen’s daughter and the heroine her mother has captured, still holds up! plus I think it’s the first enemies-to-lovers romance I ever wrote

here is some of my poetry!

an experimental poem about being a changeling (Liminality, 2015)

this poem about stereotypes in pulp sci-fi (Strange Horizons, 2016)

a linked duet of magical realism romance poems (Cabinet of Heed, 2017)

this poem about Pie'oh'pah, the canonically nonbinary Clive Barker character (Hypnopomp, 2018) (apparently i was still marketing myself as cis when I published this, classic egg move)

another poem in Strange Horizons, about zombies and grief (I’m honestly really proud of this one) (Strange Horizons, 2018)
